With over 41 years’ experience in rail I have demonstrable experience in delivering impressive results in multi-stakeholder environments.

Recently I have been engaged as bid Security Lead for a global operator in the light rail sector. Prior to this, I was hired as Programme Manager for a main Intercity TOC, merging a number of their workforce modernisation initiatives into a cohesive programme. I also led their ‘One Team’ station proposal for a major London termini. I was Security and Revenue Protection Workstream Lead for the Dubai Metro and Tram bid in 2019.

My introduction to Project Management was during the last 10 years of my career with Virgin Trains West Coast. I excelled in this area using my experience in Managing frontline teams to inform my project management style to ensure end users were kept fully in the loop with projects affecting their areas of operation. After leaving VTWC in 2017, I spent 2 fantastic years working for North Star Consultancy who have offices in London, Dubai and Sydney.

Again, I took on a wide variety of projects in the UK and in the Middle East. For example, I led the Stations’ workstream on a bid for one of the major UK franchises shortly after I joined North Star. Prior to that I led a short project to review another TOC’s station staffing structure, culminating in a report containing several recommendations, a number of which were implemented. In 2018 I was engaged to work on mobilising Stations and Security in Qatar as part of the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram network.

As you can see I have a wide variety of experience in Rail and thrive on taking on new challenges and using my skills and experience to deliver results.
